Most mothers stop breastfeeding before they want to. The most common reason this is mothers experiencing pain during breastfeeding. The most common reason for this pain is that babies are not well attached at the breast. Unicef UK describes; “a key aspect of improving breastfeeding rates is the provision of face-to-face, ongoing and predictable support.” I am based in Barnes SW13 and offer such face to face support via home or hospital visits. My services include:

Post-natal visits to your home or in the hospital -typically 60-90 minutes, £90 per hour

  • Practical and emotional support infant feeding support in your home, encompassing:

  • getting breastfeeding started, positioning and latching techniques

  • Addressing common concerns - pain, sore nipples, low weight gain, low milk supply and engorgement

  • Mixed feeding, combining bottles and breastfeeding

  • Expressing breast milk

Ante-natal visits to prepare you for your feeding journey - 2 hours, £180

  • Meeting your baby and establishing breastfeeding

  • Attaching your baby

  • Responsive feeding

  • Bottle feeding and expressing

  • Understanding if feeding is going well

  • Common problems and concerns

Sessions on transitioning to solid food and stopping breastfeeding - 2 hours, £180
